This material management warehouse receives, inspects, stores, kits, and delivers approximately 38,000 process instruments, valves, and components used in the construction and equipment installation of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in northeast Houston. The Inventory Control Specialist maintains the warehouse system of record. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain real-time, unit-level records across receiving, racking, the caged climate zone, and staging
• Run daily cycle counts on a rotating schedule; count the caged zone weekly
• Investigate every variance within 24 hours; nothing is written off
• Maintain the chain-of-custody log for caged-zone units: who, when, why
• Process work orders and release orders; nothing is issued without one
• Own the discrepancy log: every shortage, overage, damage, and return has an owner and a due date
• Keep material traceable to its tag, work package, and installation area; train handlers on scan discipline

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and comfort with inventory, WMS, or database software (training provided)
• OSHA 10 and GMP/GDP awareness training (provided)

Preferred (Not Required)
• 1–2+ years in inventory control, receiving, stockroom, or warehouse systems
• Experience in a regulated, high-value, or chain-of-custody environment (pharma, medical device, aerospace, electronics)
• Associate degree in supply chain, logistics, or business; data-entry background with high accuracy standards

Physical & Work Environment
Warehouse and office environment; regular walking of rack aisles for counts; occasional lifting to 30 lbs.
UCC is an equal opportunity and proud second-chance employer. Where noted, offers are contingent on background requirements tied to secure-site access.
*Starting pay shown as a planning range; all roles follow UCC’s progressive wage schedule with level reviews approximately every five pay periods.
